LoL, for some reason it seems a lot of the divisions with the biggest problems in cheating are the same divisions that have the lower payouts. Traction Control is still a hot subject in Late Models, especially the crates. It's still a very big issue in current Sprint racing. There is a big market for it in oval racing and in dirt racing. Whether it's Davis's, the break system, or other types. Whether it's beneficial or not in the long run some people are going to use it to try and get an advantage. But they wouldn't still be advertising to the dirt and asphalt oval world if they weren't making money off of it. That's half right, they do make a good portion of it from those division because it is legal. And those guys who are still using it still aren’t winning races.ĭavis and other traction control companies make the overwhelming majority of their money on drag and road racers who run classes where it’s legal to run. Guys were using em ten years ago, and way, way less guys are using now. Are there traction control salesmen telling racers they are getting beat by traction control instead of better drivers? Absolutely.Īnd those brake based traction control devices are hardly new. Are there more frustrated racers getting beat regularly who blame it on traction control instead of admitting that the dominant guy is just a better driver? You had better believe it. ![]() When it’s slick, you need to break traction on purpose to get the car to turn in a lot of cases. It’s not even a game changer on the hard, slick tracks. But hard and slick, it's the game changer. Obviously, it is not going to be very beneficial with a a majority of tracks around the Country. It's actually most prevalent in Sprint Cars. As it was being used by a lot of teams around the country. This new brake system device has been cracked down on by a lot of the series. Especially the self-learning devices, and now these braking devices. On the slick tracks its incredibly helpful from the person I talked to. ![]()
